Welcome to the Home Page of the Buckeye Barrier Busters! We're an organization dedicated to fostering an awareness of disability and access issues for all citizens living in the NW Ohio area. We are especially focused on community, and removing barriers to social interaction which are vital to a healthy lifestyle for those who may be otherwise isolated by age or disability. Join us!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Changes: We are aware of problems with this site loading slowly for some members, and are going to be moving some content off the main page over the next few weeks in an effort to address this issue. We will also be adding a few new buttons (pages) to the main menu, and have other plans in the works to make this site more useful for everyone. Stay tuned!

Why join the Buckeye Barrier Busters?

1. Membership is free. We feel that is most important, and we will never charge to belong to the Buckeye Barrier Busters. That said, we do need actual members, and not just visitors. Our organization depends on advertising, affiliateships, and even private donations to remain a free service. The more members we have, the more appealing we can be to local area merchants and service providers. Please consider joining today. We need your voice.

2. Members receive our newsletter Crossing That Bridge sent by email about every 3 months. Readers can participate in polls and surveys about topics of interest to our community. Your opinion matters, and we want to hear what you have to say. Our members provide ratings and feedback about their experiences with access (or lack thereof) to local area businesses and government buildings. Since our ratings are based on direct experience, your input is not only appreciated... it is vital... and can be a real force for positive changes in our community.

3. Become a member of our growing advocacy group. We are working hard to make important changes at the grassroots level, and we want you to be a part of that. Nothing happens unless we make it happen, right?
